In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the art of Kawandi, an improvisational quilting tradition practiced by the Siddi community of India, descended from Bantu peoples of central+Southeast Africa.
Mahdiyyah will guide you step by step, to create your own small quilt using repurposed fabrics while exploring a slower, more intuitive approach to stitching that celebrates creativity over perfection.
